MARCIE BROOKS

Marcella Bursey Brooks is a retired registered nurse and avid animal lover who has always shared her home with dogs and cats. She is aware of their intelligence, intuition and judgement. Like two of the dogs in her novel, she is sensitive to energies and has had paranormal experiences.

Four Dogs and Their Tales is her debut novel and much of the story is told from the perspective of the four dogs. It touches upon many universal themes such as unconditional love of dogs, rags to riches, love of a family, pet air travel, competition, sibling rivalry, jealousy, friendship and love.” The author is an advocate for safe and comfortable air travel conditions for pet family members and she addresses this issue in her book.

In addition, Ms. Brooks is a former State President of Arizona Federation of Garden Clubs and a National Garden Clubs Accredited Master Flower Show Judge.

"If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you; that is the principle difference between a dog and a man."
